Jeremiah 29:11

This is Isaac as a newborn.
This is Maddie as a baby.

Hello all! Sorry I've been MIA lately. We've had a lot going on and haven't had much time to sit at the computer. I've been reading a friend's blog daily (Erica) and she is so good at telling her family stories and somehow turning them into a learning experience from God. It's amazing! It made me reflect onto my own blog and the posts I put on here and who they actually reach and who actually reads them and could potentially get something out of them. With that being said, I wanted to offer a bit of encouragement to those who are reading and going through some struggles. I have many, many friends and family members right this very moment going through some tough times that they don't have any answers to. I am speaking to you when I say that I love you and am here to offer you prayers and support. I truly love each and every one of you and hope you know the Lord as I do and know that He will deliver you from your trials you are facing, whatever they may be. It's so easy to say, and so hard to do, but cast your cares upon Him. That is exactly what He wants us to do. To explain what I'm saying, I'll offer you a bit of a personal story. When Marty and I started trying to get pregnant for the very first time, we like a lot of people, just assumed it would come easily. Well, it didn't. We both got discouraged and wanted to be able to fix it on our own. Over the course of 3 years, we both had gone through extensive testing and doctor's visits and I through some super expensive medicines. When I actually felt defeated and had given up, which is just what our Father was waiting for, that's when I got pregnant!!!! AMAZING!!! To think that all of this time, all I had to do was give the situation over to him and I would be granted my heart's desire! Wow, talk about humbling! And now, 6 years and 2 kids later.... I'm still learning how to give my worries and struggles to Him. There's a verse that comes to mind here, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11. Powerful words! Basically, when you see no end, God already knows it and is waiting for you at the other side!

Awesome, Mere! I didn't know that part of your story. Thank you so much for encouraging me along with the rest of those going through tough times. I loved the baby pics as well. I am glad you are back in action!

On another note, to embed a link, highlight the word you want to link to, then click on the "T" next to the button you would click on to change the text color. A box will come up and you can put the web address in there. It is a lot easier than I thought it would be.
